Our Dentist

Dr. Brad Burtwistle, DDS, RN, Dentist at Monument Family Dentistry

Brad Burtwistle, DDS, RN

Originally from Northeastern Nebraska, Dr. Burtwistle and his family have lived in the Monument area since 1998 and love being a part of this wonderful community. He began his medical career as a Paramedic, then became a Registered Nurse, serving as a Charge Nurse at Penrose Community Hospital and St. Francis Medical Centers. After serving as Director of Nursing at Audubon Surgery Center at St. Francis, Dr. Burtwistle went on to further his career and become a Dentist.

In 2009, Dr. Burtwistle attended Dental School at the University of Colorado Denver, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and purchased Monument Family Dentistry in 2014.

Dr. Burtwistle has two daughters. His wife Julia is a retired Air Force Officer and has worked as a business analyst/consultant for over 25 years. In 2014, Julia also founded and is the Executive Director of a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for a childhood disease that affects their family.

This is our Office Manager, Sarah. Sarah’s career first started as a dental Assistant in 2015 and she attended Columbia Southern University for billing and coding and is a certified Dental Consultant through Allstar Dental Academy.

Sarah is originally from Louisiana and moved to Colorado with her fiancée and 3 dogs in 2020 to live out their dream of being able to hike and camp in the mountains.

Sarah enjoys reading books, photography, and cooking Cajun meals for her friends and family. Sarah joined our team in 2023 and she is excited to continue the amazing working environment at our office along with continuing to make patient care the forefront.  We feel so lucky to have her on our team and we look forward to you meeting her!

Julie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1992 from the University of Colorado in Denver and was an Orthodontic Assistant for several years prior to continuing her education in dental hygiene.

Julie joined the Monument Family Dentistry team in July 2013. She and her husband Ken have lived in the Monument area since 1998 and enjoy doing projects around the house and taking scenic road trips.

Julie also enjoys teaching and sharing her passion for scrapbooking and paper-crafting with others in her direct sales business.

This is Sheree, one of our amazing dental hygienists. Sheree was born and raised in Virginia but moved to California to attend Dental hygiene school. Sheree has been in the dental field for 20 years and has been a dental hygienist for 16 years. She moved to Colorado in 2017 to be closer to her family. She loves spending time with her family and is a mom of 4 girls and 1 Boy. Sheree is constantly making us laugh and our patients love her, we are so lucky to have her be a part of our team!

She began her dental career as a dental assistant before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and pursuing her Masters from the University of New Mexico.  She prides herself on building trusting relationships with our patients.  She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, working out & learning more about nutrition. She enjoys hiking and has checked off nine of Colorado’s 14ers.
