Our Dentist

Brad Burtwistle, DDS, RN

Originally from Northeastern Nebraska, Dr. Burtwistle and his family have lived in the Monument area since 1998 and love being a part of this wonderful community. He began his medical career as a Paramedic, then became a Registered Nurse, serving as a Charge Nurse at Penrose Community Hospital and St. Francis Medical Centers. After serving as Director of Nursing at Audubon Surgery Center at St. Francis, Dr. Burtwistle went on to further his career and become a Dentist.

In 2009, Dr. Burtwistle attended Dental School at the University of Colorado Denver, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and purchased Monument Family Dentistry in 2014.

Dr. Burtwistle has two daughters. His wife Julia is a retired Air Force Officer and has worked as a business analyst/consultant for over 25 years. In 2014, Julia also founded and is the Executive Director of a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for a childhood disease that affects their family.

Ben

Office Manager

Ben brings over 20 years of experience in dental practice leadership to our team. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Colorado–Colorado Springs in 2004, and later returned to UCCS to complete his MBA in 2010, specializing in Healthcare Administration and Finance.

Throughout his career, Ben has successfully managed a wide variety of dental practices—from specialty clinics and public health programs to large corporate offices and even small rural practices serving remote communities. This diverse background has given him a unique perspective on patient care, team support, and practice operations.

As our Office Manager, Ben is dedicated to ensuring every patient has seamless access to the care they need. Whether it’s navigating insurance, coordinating treatment, or simply being a supportive resource, he is here to make your experience with Dr. Burtwisle and our team as smooth and positive as possible.

Angela

Treatment Coordinator

Angela brings over a decade of experience in dental office management and patient support to our practice. She focuses on making each visit run smoothly while ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed, and truly cared for. She earned her Bachelor of Innovation in Business Administration from UCCS, graduating magna cum laude, and has also been involved in small business ownership, giving her a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to organization, communication, and service.
Angela’s favorite part of her work is connecting with people and learning their stories. She believes trust and kindness are essential to great care and takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming experience for every patient. You’ll often find Angela humming a tune throughout the office, as music has always held a special place in her heart. Outside of work, Angela is a creative soul and the lead vocalist for the local funk band, Funkology. She brings that same warmth and positive energy into the practice each day.

Brandi was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. She moved to Colorado in 2019 to be closer to her family. When she isn’t working, she spends her time with her fiance, going to hockey games and watching Bravo.

Bianca

Registered Dental Hygienist

Bianca is a proud Air Force veteran who brings over 26 years of dental experience to our team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene and is dedicated to blending advanced, evidence-based techniques with compassionate, personalized care. Her goal is to help every patient achieve and maintain a healthy, confident smile.

Passionate about prevention, Bianca emphasizes patient education as the cornerstone of lasting oral health. She takes the time to ensure patients feel comfortable and informed during each visit, offering individualized guidance to support their unique needs and empower them in their oral health journey.

Outside the office, Bianca enjoys giving back through community outreach programs, as well as spending time reading, crafting, traveling, and exploring the beauty of the Colorado outdoors.

Peyton

Registered Dental Hygienist

Before beginning her dental hygiene career, Peyton worked as a dental assistant while completing her prerequisites for admission into the dental hygiene program. This experience sparked her passion for patient care and provided valuable insight into the cosmetic side of dentistry. Peyton earned her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2025 from Pueblo Community College.

Peyton is deeply passionate about the connection between oral and systemic health and takes pride in educating patients on the link. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Peyton regularly participates in continuing education courses to stay up to date with advancements in the fields of dentistry and dental hygiene. Her commitment ensures that each patient receives the highest quality of care and education for optimal oral health.

When she isn’t making smiles brighter, Peyton enjoys baking and spending time outdoors – whether she is paddle boarding, hiking, or camping
